In this message, I want to tell you in on a little secret… I want to tell you about a crucial truth that I learned which revolutionized my sales results.
To fully understand it, I should first tell you about how I came to find out about it…
For starters, I’ve been in sales and closing all my life.
In the 3rd grade, my father sent me to school with some cheap watches and shoulder pads. He told me to sell them to my friends and their parents.
I did all sorts of these one-off sales activities until I became an adult.
At 18, I started at my first closing gig in the timeshare industry, and ever since then, I’ve never stopped closing.
Over the years, I learned plenty of important things.
Ironically, most things taught to me by my sales managers/directors actually turned out to be incorrect.
Because of this, everything impactful that I would ever learn, I had to learn on my own.
At times, I would see monthly leaderboards showing certain skilled salespeople closing ridiculous numbers. Some people were closing in a month, what would take others a full year.
At the risk of sounding cocky….
I was that skilled salesperson.
At times, I would get doubtful, thinking that maybe it was just the industry I was in.
So over the years, I changed industries to see if I was better at selling certain products and services over others. I thought it was maybe the price points or even the type of customers that were coming in….
NOPE.
Plenty of my peers wondered what I was saying. They thought I just had some sort of “Golden Script”.
One time I even caught some sales reps gathering in the room next to mine, with their ears pressed to the wall, trying to hear what I was saying.
So what was the secret? Did I really have a “Golden Script”?
NOPE.
But what I did have was a technique…
A method of closing that would consistently get me, extraordinary sales results.
I discovered this method over a long time.
I paid close attention to every single word I said….
Every phrase…
Every gesture I made….
Every question I asked…
And most importantly, the customers’ reaction to each one of those things.
Eventually, I began teaching these techniques to a select few of my peers.
IMMEDIATELY, they were closing more. It got to the point where they were always closing at least 2x-3x more deals then the others.
Right then and there, I knew what I had to do…
Since then, I’ve begun packaging my findings into an interactive, online course in order to teach it to anyone who’s interested in waking up the Empowered Persuader within themselves….
